Plain-English information about ordering with MYGOODEAT, our fees and fulfilment, allergens and nutrition, and your rights.
Please note: this page is a working draft written to be honest and clear. Before public launch, have these terms reviewed by a qualified legal adviser for your jurisdiction (UK consumer law, food-information regulations, and data-protection law).
How MYGOODEAT works
MYGOODEAT is a curation and ordering service for healthier takeaway. We hand-pick genuinely better dishes from local kitchens and present them with nutrition and allergen information so you can choose with confidence.
Are these restaurants your partners?
Most kitchens shown are brokered, not formally partnered. That means when you order and pay through MYGOODEAT, we place and pay for the equivalent order with the kitchen (via its own website or an ordering platform) on your behalf. The food is prepared and delivered by the kitchen or its own delivery service. Where a kitchen is a direct partner, we will say so on its page.
Is it live in my area?
We only display kitchens that are currently live and orderable near the postcode you enter. If nothing appears, we are not yet operating in your area.
Fees & fulfilment
Prices may differ from ordering directly with the kitchen or with Just Eat, Uber Eats or Deliveroo. Our price reflects curation and handling; the price you pay is always shown clearly before you confirm.
Any delivery fee, service fee and minimum order are shown on the kitchen’s page and at checkout before payment.
Fulfilment: after you pay, we place the matching order with the kitchen and it is delivered by the kitchen’s own service. Estimated delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
We take payment when you place the order. If we cannot fulfil an order (for example, the kitchen is closed or cannot deliver to you), we cancel and refund it — see Refunds below.
Allergens & nutrition — important
Nutrition figures and allergen labels shown in MYGOODEAT are estimates and guidance only. They may be derived from third-party menu data and automated analysis, and can be incomplete or inaccurate. Recipes, ingredients and preparation can change without notice, and kitchens may handle allergens in shared environments.
If you have a food allergy or intolerance: do not rely solely on the information in this app. Always confirm ingredients and cross-contamination risk directly with the kitchen before ordering, and tell us and the kitchen about any allergy. MYGOODEAT does not guarantee that any dish is free from a given allergen.
What “healthy” means here
“Healthier” reflects our editorial curation toward whole ingredients, balanced options and transparency — not a medical or dietary claim. Nothing in MYGOODEAT is medical or nutritional advice.
Refunds & cancellation
Before we place your order with the kitchen, you can cancel for a full refund.
After the kitchen has accepted/started preparing, cancellation may not be possible because the food is already being made and paid for on your behalf.
If an order can’t be fulfilled (kitchen closed, out of stock, outside delivery area, or a payment/authentication problem), we cancel it and refund you in full.
If something is wrong with your order (missing items, quality issues), contact us as soon as possible — see Contact — and we’ll investigate and put it right where appropriate.
Refunds are made to your original payment method. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Terms of use (summary)
You must be able to form a binding contract and provide accurate delivery and contact details.
By placing an order you authorise MYGOODEAT to arrange and pay for the matching order with the kitchen on your behalf.
Menu availability, prices, and delivery times can change and are confirmed at checkout.
We are not the manufacturer of the food; responsibility for food preparation and safety rests with the kitchen. We act as an intermediary and curator.
We may refuse or cancel orders (for example suspected fraud, or if a kitchen cannot fulfil).
These summary terms will be replaced by full terms before public launch.
Privacy (summary)
We collect only what we need to take and fulfil your order: your name, contact details, delivery address, order contents and payment status. Card payments are processed by Stripe; MYGOODEAT does not store your full card number. We share the delivery and order details needed to fulfil your order with the relevant kitchen or platform.
We do not sell your personal data.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data — see Contact.
A full privacy notice (including lawful bases, retention periods and your UK GDPR rights) will be published before public launch.
